Last weekend was a very exciting time for me. We had our first pop up shop to introduce French Vintage Home to friends and family in Dallas. We had a record turnout at the house we used on Lakeside, the most prestigious street in Dallas.

The sale was a huge success and people seemed to love the things I brought back from the brocantes (flea markets ) in the Perigord region of France where I have my home.

We sold lots of kitchen towels, Quimper pottery, cutting boards, pillows and more.

Our website isn't quite ready but when it is you can click on www.frenchvintagehome.com and see all the treasures.

Above are pictures of the event. My partner Laura did a beautiful job of styling the merchandise. I hope you enjoy.

A bientôt,
Audrey

Perfect, isn't it?

I just returned from a week in Biarritz and it's surroundings. It's an amazing beautiful place with all things wonderful. Sun, Sea and Beauty.

First night I had dinner with my friend Donia and her lovely daughter and granddaughters. We had great organic pizza, yum!!!

The next day we went to St. Jean de Luz a beautiful seaside resort area with lots and lots of tourists including us. On the way there we stopped at the beautifully chic Blue Cargo restaurant to meet up with friends and enjoy the absolute best club sandwich. The restaurant is located on the beach and is full of gorgeous people and their dogs. Skye had a wonderful time. So did I.

We went to San Sebastian Spain the next day for lots of tapas and wine. Of course, we included shopping as you cannot go to Spain and not stop at the Frontera to grab some bargains.

I thought I would get a good rest from the hugely popular social life here in the Perigord but lo and behold I continued doing all the same things near the sea. La bonne vie.

Caudalie is located on the grounds of the Chateau Smith- Haut Lafite a grand cru vineyard.

There is no more beautiful spot than Les Sources de Caudalie, the Vinotherapie Spa not far from Bordeaux.

I just spent a few days there being pampered and getting lots of rest. The location is absolutely beautiful and the treatments are sublime. Everything is related to the fabulous Haut- Smith Lafite vineyards as the spa is located on its premises. Many of the treatments relate to the vineyard such as a grape seed gommage, and wine bath. I treated myself to a couple of different massages, baths, and a soothing facial. It was glorious.

There was a beautiful and interesting guest list including Jean Paul Gauthier and his friends. A star studded group.

There are two different dining rooms as well as a lovely area near the pool for lunch. The chef,
Nicholas Maase, does a magnificent job in the gourmet dining room Le Grande Vigne as well as the more casual La Table du Lavoir.

I highly recommend this Spa for an experience you can't help but think is fabulous.
