Bordeaux Antique Fair

I went to the great Bordeaux Antique Fair yesterday, it was great fun.  So much to see, so much to choose, it's hard to stop shopping.

Absolutely fell in love with this table and chairs for the garden.

The linen shops always catch my eye and it's probably where I spend the most time and money.

Look for some of these grandmere night dresses on our frenchvintagehome.com web site or Etsy shop by going to www.etsy.com and go to frenchvintagehome (no spaces) to see the latest additions.

Lots and lots of dishes, how do you choose? I fell in love with some plates from the faience pottery company called Gien.  I just photographed them and put them in our Etsy shop.

More rust, more beauty from days gone by.

One of our lovely customers asked me to find a christening dress for her new grandchild.  I believe I found it.  This one is from the end of the 19th century and is so beautiful. It comes with a most unusual head band ruffled all around.

To get ready for the great Bordeaux antique fair, I had to do a few things.  First a great tote to carry an extra pair of shoes, an extra bag as well as some purchases.  I start with this one from Ralph Lauren

Then I tuck in these foldable shoes as I know I will need a change by the end of the day.  These are adorable and have their own little sack to keep your purse clean.

Besides adding a bottle of water, kleenex and my wallet I always take an extra bag for the many purchases I hope to make for our company French Vintage Home. Nothing is more versatile than this Longchamp nylon tote that folds up into your handbag.

You should be good to go and you will be looking great. If you click on the blue printing you can get the details of the items pictured.

Enjoy and a Bientôt to all my wonderful friends.
